After struggling to make ends by in the Nevada hamlet of Perfection, Hick handymen Val McKee and Earl Bassett make the decision to leave despite the warnings of a lanky, sultry seismology student who is receiving strange readings on her equipment. Val and Earl soon find what's causing the anomalous readings: 30-foot-long predatory worms with a preference for pulling their victims from under the surface more info of the Earth.
